I'm Sam, a photographer/videographer from London now living in Sheffield. I'd like to think my photos reflect my creative approach to the task at hand and I'm always keen to get involved in projects which stand out from your average shoot.

Through a childhood of camping holidays and days out in the mountains I’ve acquired a wide range of skills and knowledge of most outdoor sports and activities and count on this experience regularly whilst on shoots with clients. I can’t claim to be a very good skier but I’m an experienced mountain runner and bike packer, I’ve raced every cycling discipline going from track cycling to downhill and an Ironman triathlon, I’ve got years of trad and sport climbing experience under my belt, even the odd winter route and in the summer time I take the paddleboard and canoe out, otherwise it’s down the beach with the surfboard. Aside from the sports, I’m experienced with pitching all kinds of tents, know my way around a proper rucksack fit and understand how outdoor clothing should be worn and presented to best represent the product.

Regular clients include JD Outdoors (GO Outdoors, Millets, Blacks), Mammut, Alpkit/Sonder Bikes, The Rider Firm (Hunt Wheels, Privateer Bikes, Cairn Cycles), Wattbike, Metron Cycling and Tailfin. I’ve also had covers on multiple of the top mountain bike magazines, won multiple Photo of the Year categories on UKClimbing.com, as well as a features in a number of national newspapers.

I’m always on the lookout for new interesting projects to get stuck into. So, whether you’re looking for someone to film your next bike launch who’s not afraid to get their gear covered in mud for the perfect shot, or a photographer prepared to sit on a static line until his legs go numb to capture the right angle, I’m your man.
